Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know before your first visit.

Who is Adriana, and what are her credentials?

I'm an Aesthetic Specialist with over 15 years of clinical nursing experience and a speaker at Harvard Medical and the MARC Institute. I hold advanced certifications in Botox, dermal fillers, PRP, microneedling and laser therapies, and my practice follows all state and federal safety and infection-control standards.

What makes Asunshine different from other medspa practices?

I don't work from a one-size-fits-all protocol. Every treatment is personalized to your face, skin type and goals. I listen to what you actually want and I'm transparent about what's realistic. And I believe exceptional aesthetic care shouldn't require traveling into Manhattan — you deserve clinical expertise right here on Long Island.

Do you only treat residents of Mineola?

No. I work with patients throughout Long Island and the greater New York area — many come from Great Neck, Manhasset, Garden City and beyond. If you're looking for personalized aesthetic care in a welcoming, professional environment, you're welcome here.

Do you offer virtual or phone consultations?

Yes. Free 15-minute phone consultations are available if you'd like to ask questions or see whether a treatment might be right for you before coming in. For a full assessment, an in-person consultation is ideal so I can evaluate your face and skin type in detail.

How do I book an appointment?

Book directly on Fresha or call 917-297-2862 — you can also WhatsApp that same number. If you'd like a free 15-minute phone consultation first, just let us know when you call or book.

What should I expect during my first consultation?

We'll discuss your goals, concerns, skin type and medical history. I'll assess your face and explain what treatments might work best, and I'll be honest about what's realistic, how many sessions you might need and the timeline. By the end you'll have a clear, customized plan.

How long is a typical consultation?

A free phone consultation is about 15 minutes. An in-person consultation is usually 30–45 minutes, depending on how many questions you have and whether we're discussing multiple treatments.

Can I bring a friend or family member to my appointment?

Absolutely. Many patients like having a support person or a friend to chat with. Your comfort and confidence matter, so bring whoever makes you feel at ease.

What are your hours of operation?

Monday–Friday 11am–7pm, Saturday 11am–5pm, Sunday 11am–4pm. We're closed on major holidays. If you need after-hours support, call or text 917-297-2862 and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

What is Endolifting and how does it work?

Endolifting is my signature treatment — a minimally invasive laser lift that stimulates your skin's natural collagen and gently restores facial contour and lift, without surgery. It does involve a short recovery: expect mild swelling and possible bruising for several days up to two weeks, with results developing gradually over 2–3 months. Results may vary.

How many Endolifting sessions will I need?

Most patients see subtle changes after 2–3 sessions and significant results by session 4–6. Your timeline depends on your starting point and how your skin responds. At your consultation I'll give you a customized recommendation, and many patients then do maintenance every 4–6 weeks to sustain results.

What is Botox and how does it work?

Botox is a precise tool for softening expression lines and preventing new ones. I approach it as a way to keep your face expressive and natural-looking — not frozen — customizing the dose and placement so results feel like you, just refreshed. Botox starts from $425 per area; full pricing depends on your customized plan.

What's the difference between Botox and fillers?

Botox relaxes the muscles that create expression lines — it's preventative and smoothing. Fillers restore lost volume, define features and create facial harmony. Many patients benefit from combining both, and at your consultation I'll discuss which approach makes sense for your face and goals.

What can dermal fillers do for my face?

Strategic filler placement restores lost volume, defines features like cheekbones and lips and creates facial harmony. I use a minimalist philosophy — just enough to restore what time has taken, never more — so results look natural, balanced and uniquely you. Pricing varies with the areas treated and your customized plan.

What is PRP and microneedling?

Microneedling stimulates your skin's natural healing response, boosting collagen and improving texture, tone and fine lines. Combined with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood, results are amplified. It works beautifully for all skin types with minimal downtime, and results develop over weeks and improve with a series.

What can laser treatments address?

Lasers address fine lines, sun damage, redness and texture with precision and minimal downtime. I select protocols tailored to your specific concerns — whether you need resurfacing, color correction or texture refinement — and results are cumulative and improve with appropriate aftercare.

What is body sculpting and who benefits from it?

Advanced body-sculpting technology tones and defines without surgery or downtime. Whether you're targeting stubborn areas or seeking overall refinement, this personalized treatment helps you reach the contours you want. Results develop over weeks and improve with a series.

Can I combine different treatments?

Absolutely. Many patients love layered approaches — for example Endolifting for lift, Botox for fine lines and fillers for volume creates a comprehensive, customized plan. I'll discuss combinations during your consultation based on your goals and timeline.

How much do aesthetic treatments cost?

Pricing varies with the areas treated and your customized plan, and at your consultation I'll give you a transparent quote so you know exactly what to expect. Botox starts from $425 per area and Endolifting from $850; for other services, pricing is shared at your consultation.

Do you accept payment plans or financing?

Yes — we offer Cherry and CareCredit financing, plus Klarna at checkout, so you can spread treatments across months. Both are easy to apply for and offer flexible terms; ask about current promotional rates when you book.

Do you accept Klarna?

Yes — Klarna is available through checkout, so there's no separate application to fill in beforehand. Just let us know when you pay and we'll set it up. For longer-term plans, Cherry and CareCredit are also available and you can pre-qualify for those in advance.

What is Cherry financing?

Cherry lets you pay for treatments over time with flexible terms. You can apply in minutes and approval is usually instant — a great option if you want to start your treatment series without paying everything upfront. We always present Cherry alongside CareCredit.

What is CareCredit and how do I use it?

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card that works for aesthetic and wellness treatments. You can apply online or in-clinic, and many patients appreciate the promotional financing offers when they qualify. Ask us about current promotions — we always present it alongside Cherry.

Are aesthetic treatments safe?

All treatments at Asunshine follow rigorous safety and infection-control standards. I'm trained and certified in every protocol I offer and I conduct thorough consultations to rule out contraindications. I'm transparent about what to expect, the typically minimal side effects and aftercare — and if you have specific health concerns, please mention them at your consultation.

What are the potential side effects?

Side effects vary by treatment and most are minimal and temporary — Botox might cause slight bruising, fillers may bring temporary swelling, laser treatments can cause mild redness. I'll explain the potential reactions during your consultation and provide clear aftercare instructions.

How should I prepare for a treatment?

Preparation depends on the treatment, but generally: avoid alcohol and blood thinners 24–48 hours before, avoid sun exposure before and after and wear sunscreen daily. I'll send you a detailed prep guide when you book.

What is the aftercare like?

Aftercare depends on your treatment. Most require sunscreen, moisturizing and avoiding strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours. I'll give you a comprehensive aftercare guide with your treatment so you know exactly what to do to support your results.

Where are you located, and is there parking?

185 Willis Ave, Suite 202, Mineola, NY 11501 — in downtown Mineola, close to the LIRR and major routes, with easy access from Great Neck, Manhasset and Garden City. Dedicated client parking is available at the building, with street parking nearby.

What languages do you speak?

We care for patients in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese — so you feel fully understood from your first consultation.
